Join us for a night of poetry by two Latinx Gainesville poets this Sunday, October 13th at 6pm. Because of nature themes, this event is not recommended for kids (sorry y’all). Event is free, and open to the public.
Cat Llinas is a Cuban-American poet who has routinely performed throughout Gainesville. Self described as “fine, I guess,” new wave synth, and “like your grandfather’s wool sweater - old and itchy but you keep it out of guilt,” Llinas writes on personal experiences including sexuality and Latinx identity.
Josh Hoffman is a Dominican-Puerto Rican poet and has been described as a bastard child of Bukowski and Pablo Neruda. He has also been described as legendary, an asshole, a good friend, inspirational, and nothing.
