Third House Books & Coffee presents Borrowed Mic Night with Mandisa. This week we have a special theme: Christmas in July! So come dressed for the occasion and sing a carol, read a holiday themed story and just share in the revelry, eggnog, and cookies!

Borrowed Mic Night is an adaptation of an open mic. Instead of sharing your own work, this is a chance for any and every one to share someone else's work. A chance to share that poem, essay, or passage from a novel that you think everyone must hear.

What if you want to share something but you don't have anything picked out or can't decide? No problem! Here is how the evening will go.

7:00-8:00: Browse the store's eclectic selection of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction and find something that moves you that you just have to share with everyone else.

8:00-10:00: Borrow that mic! Share that poem, passage, or essay you've just read or you brought with you and help share amazing words with our community.

Readers get a drink token good for a free coffee or half-off a glass of house wine from Downtown Wine and Cheese, our neighbors down the hall!
