Meet the Author: Kate Daniels

Join us for a reading by poet Kate Daniels on March 5th at 6:30 pm.

Kate Daniels is the author of six collections of poetry, most recently, Three Syllables Describing Addiction (Bull City Press 2018) and In the Months of My Son’s Recovery (LSU 2019). She is also the editor of Muriel Rukeyser’s selected poems, Out of Silence (Triquarterly 1992), and coeditor of a volume of critical essays, Of Solitude and Silence: Writings on Robert Bly (Beacon Press 1982). Her first collection of poetry, The White Wave, won the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize from the University of Pittsburgh Press, and her second, The Niobe Poems, was a finalist for the Paterson Poetry Prize. Her poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, Blackbird, Callaloo, the Oxford American, the Southern Review, Tin House, Women’s Review of Books, et al, and have thrice been selected for Best American Poetry. She has received a Pushcart Prize, and numerous Pushcart nominations in addition to the Crazyhorse Prize for Poetry, the Louisiana Literature Poetry Prize, the James Dickey Poetry Prize, and the Hanes Poetry Prize. Her poetry has been collected in more than seventy-five anthologies. She lives in Nashville, TN.
