Join us for an evening reading with author Chris Gabbard. Gabbard is a professor at University of North Florida in Jacksonville. His memoir, _A Life Beyond Reason: A Father's Memoir_ is a tale of a marriage between the head and the heart as he tells his story about caring for and loving his son August. August was born with brain damage so severe that he lived his short life as a spastic quadriplegic with cortical blindness and profound cognitive impairments. August’s life should have been filled with unimaginable suffering but instead overflowed with joy.
