This months Better Than pick is a special one. Kiren and myself (Heather) were sitting discussing what book and movie we should pick this month, and found ourselves naming books by white men, over and over. We decided that needed to change, and so Kiren picked something that is a little out of the box for us: a romance by a woman of color - Waiting to Exhale by Terry McMillan. McMillan's novel is one of revenge, triumph, and friendship and I was once compared to a particular scene which you will know immediately once you read the book and see the movie with us
