Quanisha Madison: Signing and Reading Opium Fields

  • Third House Books & Coffee 113 North Main Street Gainesville, FL, 32601 United States (map)

Join us at Third House Books & Coffee for the debut of local writer Quanisha Madison's book of poems, Opium Fields.

This short poetry collection uncovers themes of loss, nature, and renewal. Madison asks the reader to face her inner fears and contemplate what it really means to be alive. It will take you on a journey through self-discovery and the very essence of living in the woodlands.

"Look into the oval mirror and see the image that presents itself
so if other suitors may come
show them you are not afraid
and watch how they run for the hills."
-Quanisha Madison, "If Beauty Is What They Seek"
